Mechanical stainless steel rotating sludge thickener for thickening sludge previously conditioned with polyelectrolyte in a flocculation mixer.The product is conveyed into the thickening drum divided into 4 zones separated by anular rings, each of which has an adjustable opening to adapt the sludge retention time according with its characteristics.The drained water filters through the filter cloth wrapped on the outer wall of the drum and is collected in the bottom bowl and then discharged, while the thickened sludge advances to the discharge hopper by a path of auger-shaped internal spirals welded to the drum.Cleaning of the cloth is ensured by a continuous washing system with nozzles.
